Water Safety Swim Lessons - Prospect Pool Altoona

Eligible to Altoona Residents Only

The Prospect Pool Water Safety Swim Lessons are designed to give our Altoona community residents a fun, safe, and FREE way to become stronger and more confident swimmers. In this class, students will learn water safety from the deck and in the water, including basics of stroke mechanics and treading water. They will also learn fun water games to play with friends and family all summer long!

Weekly sessions offered Monday-Thursday from 10am-11am (ages 11+) and from 11am-12pm (ages 5-10) *weather permitting.

Weeks offered: June 10-13, June 17-20, June 24-27, July 8-11, July 15-18, July 22-25, July 29-Aug 1, Aug 5-8. Pre-registration is REQUIRED. Waitlist is available.

NEW SUMMER 2025 Participants may only register for a total of THREE sessions. This is to ensure as many families can participate as possible and we can minimize the number of no-shows.

Eligible to residents of the City of Altoona only. Anyone who does not reside in Altoona is recommended to register for Summer Intensive Swim Lessons that take place at the Blair Regional YMCA.
