Like Private Swim Lessons, Semi- Private Lessons give you the one-on-one with an instructor but with a friend or family member. Semi- Private Lessons are geared towards families who have children in multiple ages/skill groups or adults who want to take lessons together. Like regular Private Lessons, Semi -Private Lessons are taught based on needs of the individuals taking them. All Semi-Private Swim Lessons are available in either four, half-hour lesson package or a single, half-hour lesson, if you don’t want to commit to a full package.

AS OF JUNE 26, 2026: ALL private lessons are on a 2 1/2 -3 WEEK waitlist with being matched with an instructor. If you are on a time crunch for lessons, please consider group lessons.

Please Note: All those inquiring about private lessons are put on a waitlist and taken in the order they are received. During busy times of year, summer especially, it can take up to 3 weeks for an instructor to call and schedule. If an instructor does not reach out to schedule within 3 weeks, please call the Aquatics Department.  Private lessons are also designed to be more flexible than group lessons. Due to the number of private lessons and the number of instructors available, the more flexible one is with days and times the faster we will be able to match you with an instructor. Those with limited availability will be matched with an instructor as soon as one is available.

Rules:

• Private lessons are for those ages 3 and up.
• No more than 3 people in a group for a Semi-Private.
• Those requesting private lessons must sign up on the waitlist first before being placed with an instructor. Failure to do so will result in a longer wait time for an instructor.
• Payments for lessons must be made prior to start of first lesson
• All Private lessons sessions are 30-minute lessons. After lessons are completed, either single or package, the participant has the ability to continue, as many times as they like, with more lessons by reregistering with the instructor. The instructor will then register you for payment at the Front Desk.
• It is the responsibility of the instructor and participant to coordinate dates and times to meet for lessons. Makes sure to give correct contact information to your instructor.
• If a conflict does arise with either the participant or the instructor, please make sure to communicate to the other party to reschedule the lesson.
• If the participant No Call, No Shows, two times in one session, they forfeit one class and will not be reimbursed.
