Private swim lessons are designed to be one-on-one with an instructor. We can provide private lessons for any swimmer of any age, from youngsters just getting in the water for the first time to adults who want to feel comfortable in the water or find a new way of low-impact exercise. We have several instructors who would love to help our YMCA community have fun and feel safe in the water!

Or, if you might not want to commit to a full session, we are offering Single Lessons as well.

During busy times of year, summer especially, it can take up to 14 days for an instructor to call and schedule. If an instructor does not reach out to schedule within 14 days, please call the Aquatics Department and we will make sure an instructor reaches out ASAP.

Rules:

• NEW as of 6/28/23:  All Registrants, New or Returning, MUST receive a Punch Card from the front desk. Your swimmer will not be allowed in the water without a NEW or ACTIVE Punch Card to keep track of lessons. Please stop at front desk before your first lesson to pay and receive a punch card. Please make sure to give the punch card to your instructor. If the Front Desk doesn’t give you a punch card, please ask them for one.
• Private and Semi-Private lessons sessions provide four 30-minute lessons. After four lessons, the participant has the ability to continue, as many times as they like, with more lessons by reregistering with the instructor. The instructor will then register you for payment at the Front Desk.
• It is the responsibility of the instructor and participant to coordinate dates and times to meet for lessons.
• If a conflict does arise with either the participant or the instructor, please make sure to communicate to the other party to reschedule the lesson.
• If the participant No Call No Shows two times in one session, they forfeit one class and will not be reimbursed.
